Thomas Health in Charleston, WV has partnered with CereCore for MEDITECH Ambulatory implementation services. Thomas Health is currently operating on MEDITECH Expanse for its two Acute Care hospitals. The addition of the MEDITECH Ambulatory application will realize Thomas Health’s strategic goal of having a single EMR platform and one patient chart, and provide physicians a seamless web-based user interface to perform various EMR related tasks.
“We are excited about the addition of the MEDITECH web-based Ambulatory solution and the accomplishments we have been able to make in partnership with the CereCore team. This new initiative will enable Thomas Health to have a single EHR across our hospitals and clinics. This project is significant in size and scale and will provide a strong foundation for process and data standardization, advanced data analytics and future growth,” stated Dr. Matthew Upton, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer at Thomas Health.
CereCore will provide professional services with project management, subject matter expertise, custom report writing, comprehensive regulatory reporting, integration, application managed services and hosting for the Ambulatory implementation. The Ambulatory application is planned for go-live in October 2020.
The decision to partner with CereCore is largely due to the company’s proven project methodology, operational knowledge, and MEDITECH subject matter expertise through expert delivery of Thomas Health’s large-scale MEDITECH 6.15 implementation. The earlier project included end-to-end professional services as well as Level 2 support. This announcement also follows a recent transition of Thomas Health Level 1 IT Service Desk to the CereCore support team.
